Author Guidelines
Jurnal Inovasi Fisika dan Edukasi (Journal of Physics Innovation and Education) accepts manuscripts of research results, conceptual reviews, development studies, and other scientific studies relevant to the fields of physics and physics education. Authors are expected to follow the following writing guidelines carefully:
1. General Requirements
- Manuscripts must be original, have not been published elsewhere, and are not under consideration for publication in other journals.
- Manuscripts may be written in English with proper academic style and clarity.
- All submissions will be peer-reviewed by at least two reviewers through a double-blind review
- Manuscripts must be submitted via the journal's online submission system.
- Authors are encouraged to use reference management tools (e.g., Mendeley, Zotero) to manage citations in APA 7th Edition
2. Types of Manuscripts Accepted
- Original Research Articles
- Theoretical or Conceptual Papers
- Development and Innovation Studies
- Literature Reviews (systematic or critical)
- Classroom Action Research (for education-focused articles)
3. Manuscript Structure
Each manuscript should be prepared using the following structure:
A. Title and Author Information
- Title (max. 15 words, concise, informative, and specific)
- Author(s) full name(s), affiliation(s), and email(s)
- Corresponding author must be clearly indicated
B. Abstract and Keywords
- Abstract in English (150–250 words each)
- Should include background, objectives, methods, results, and conclusion
- 3–5 keywords separated by semicolons
C. Main Text (for Research Articles)
- Introduction
- Background, problem statement, research gaps, objectives, and relevant literature
- Method
- Research design, sample/data sources, instruments, procedures, and data analysis techniques
- Results and Discussion
- Clear presentation of findings supported by tables, figures, and critical interpretation
- Link to existing theories or previous research
- Conclusion
- Summary of key findings, implications, and suggestions for future research
- Acknowledgments (optional)
- Recognize individuals or institutions who contributed but did not qualify for authorship
- References
- Minimum 20 references, with at least 40% from the last 5 years
- Preferably from reputable journals indexed in Sinta, Scopus, DOAJ, Copernicus, Google Scholar, and Web of Science
4. Technical Requirements
- Manuscript length: 4,000–7,000 words (excluding references)
- File format: Microsoft Word (.docx)
- Font: Times New Roman, size 12, 1.15 spacing, justified
- Margin: 2.5 cm on all sides
- Tables and figures must be numbered, clearly titled, and placed near their citations in the text
5. Plagiarism and Ethics
- All submissions will be checked using plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin). Maximum acceptable similarity index is 20%.
- Authors must comply with ethical standards in research and publication (following COPE guidelines).
- Any form of academic misconduct (e.g., data fabrication, plagiarism, duplicate submission) will result in immediate rejection.
6. Article Processing Charge (APC)
- Currently, there is no article processing or submission fee. Any changes to APC will be announced officially on the journal's website.
7. Copyright and Licensing
- Upon acceptance, authors must sign a copyright transfer agreement.
- Published articles are under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License.
